Scholarships at the Faculty of Mathematics and Computer Science of the Jagiellonian University

The call for applications in competitions for the awarding of: - scholarship from the Dean's Fund for Olympians - Francis Mertens Scholarship, and - Julia Zdanowska Scholarship

The scholarships are intended for those who are planning to study at the UJ Faculty of Mathematics and Computer Science.

Dean's Fund for Olympians

The program is intended for winners and finalists of the central stage of a national mathematics, computer science or mathematical linguistics Olympiad who plan to apply at the UJ Faculty of Mathematics and Computer Science in 2024. Applications can be made from 1st May to 15th June, 2024 via a form available on the Faculty's website. More information about the scholarship from the Dean's Fund for Olympians

Franciszek Mertens Scholarship

The Franciszek Mertens Scholarship is intended for outstanding foreign high school students and graduates intending to study at the JU's WMiI, who are finalists in a national mathematics or computer science Olympiad or participants in one of the following international Olympiads: Mathematics (IMO), Informatics (IOI), Artificial Intelligence (IOAI), Astronomy (IAO), Astronomy and Astrophysics (IOAA), Physics (IPhO), Linguistics (IOL) or the Romanian Masters of Mathematics (RMM) international competition, Romanian Masters of Informatics (RMI), International Zhautykov Olympiad (IZhO) or participants in the European Girls' Mathematics Olympiad (EGMO) or European Girls' Informatics Olympiad (EGOI). Stage I of the competition: applications can be made from 1st May to 1st June, 2024 via a form available on the Department's website.

Julia Zdanowska Scholarship

The Julia Zdanowska Scholarship is intended for academically outstanding students and graduates of foreign high schools located in the territory of one of the Baltic countries (Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia), Eastern European countries (Belarus, Moldova, Ukraine), Transcaucasia (Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia) or Central Asia (Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan), intending to study at the JU's WMiI in 2024. Applications can be made from 1st May to 1st June, 2024 via a form available on the Department's website.
